भीम जयंती या अंबेडकर जयंती, डॉ. अंबेडकर के जन्मदिन को चिह्नित करती है, जिन्हें “भारतीय संविधान का जनक” कहा जाता है। अंबेडकर जयंती 2025, दलित आइकन के सम्मान में 14 अप्रैल को मनाई जाएगी, जिन्होंने अपना सारा काम और जीवन मजदूरों, महिलाओं और अछूतों के उत्थान के लिए समर्पित कर दिया। डॉ. बी आर अंबेडकर ने न केवल देश को अपना संविधान दिया, बल्कि भारत के केंद्रीय बैंकिंग संस्थान, भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के गठन में भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। एक अर्थशास्त्री, समाज सुधारक और न्यायविद, वे भारत के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण आंदोलनों में से एक, दलित बौद्ध आंदोलन के पीछे सबसे महत्वपूर्ण शक्ति थे।

एक संक्षिप्त इतिहास

बाबासाहेब अंबेडकर जयंती की शुरुआत 1990 में डॉ. अंबेडकर के जीवन का जश्न मनाने के लिए की गई थी। उनका जन्म 14 अप्रैल 1891 को एक निम्न-आय वाले परिवार में हुआ था। वे एक प्रतिभाशाली छात्र थे और उन्होंने कॉलेज की शिक्षा प्राप्त करने के लिए बहुत मेहनत की। वे कानून और अर्थशास्त्र के प्रैक्टिशनर थे। उन्होंने लंदन स्कूल ऑफ इकोनॉमिक्स और कोलंबिया यूनिवर्सिटी दोनों से अर्थशास्त्र में डॉक्टरेट की उपाधि प्राप्त की।  वह एक राजनीतिज्ञ, अर्थशास्त्री और दार्शनिक थे जिन्होंने जाति व्यवस्था और भारत के सामने आने वाली कई अन्य समस्याओं से लड़ाई लड़ी।

अंबेडकर जयंती के दौरान समारोह

पूरा देश डॉ. अंबेडकर का जन्मदिन मनाता है, खासकर महिलाएं, आदिवासी, दलित, मजदूर और अन्य सभी समुदाय जिनके लिए उन्होंने लड़ाई लड़ी और बदलाव के लिए प्रेरित किया। भारत और दुनिया भर में स्थित अंबेडकर के चित्रों और मूर्तियों पर माला पहनाई जाती है क्योंकि कई लोग इस समाज सुधारक के प्रति सम्मान और आभार प्रकट करते हैं। हाल के वर्षों में, संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने भी अंबेडकर जयंती मनाई है।

 उत्सव मनाने के कारण

भारत में डॉ. अंबेडकर का जन्मदिन मनाने का कारण भारत के निर्माण में उनकी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका और भारत के गरीबों के लिए उनके योगदान को याद करना और उनका सम्मान करना है। भारतीय संविधान बनाने के पीछे उनका सबसे महत्वपूर्ण दिमाग था। उन्होंने शिक्षा के महत्व को फैलाने और कम आय वाले लोगों की वित्तीय स्थिति को समृद्ध करने के लिए 1923 में बहिष्कृत हितकारिणी सभा की स्थापना की। उन्होंने मंदिर प्रवेश आंदोलन, पुजारी विरोधी आंदोलन, जाति विरोधी आंदोलन आदि जैसे कई सामाजिक आंदोलनों का नेतृत्व किया। उन्होंने समान अधिकारों के लिए लड़ाई लड़ी और जीवन भर एक अर्थशास्त्री और समाज सुधारक रहे।

डॉ. बी आर अंबेडकर के महत्वपूर्ण योगदान

डॉ. अंबेडकर ने समाज में कई बदलाव किए जिन्हें आज भी याद किया जाता है। उन्होंने कई आंदोलन आयोजित करके दलित समुदाय के अधिकारों की रक्षा के लिए लड़ाई लड़ी।  इनमें से कुछ उल्लेखनीय घटनाएं हैं मूक नायक, समानता जनता आदि। 1947 में देश के ब्रिटिश सरकार के शासन से मुक्त होने के बाद कांग्रेस सरकार ने उन्हें पहला कानून मंत्री बनने के लिए आमंत्रित किया। 29 अगस्त 1947 को वे संविधान मसौदा समिति के अध्यक्ष बने।

उन्होंने देश का नया संविधान बनाया, जिसे 26 नवंबर 1949 को संविधान सभा ने अपनाया। चूंकि वे एक अर्थशास्त्री थे, इसलिए सेंट्रल बैंक ऑफ इंडिया, जिसे वर्तमान में भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के रूप में जाना जाता है, के निर्माण में उनका योगदान बहुत बड़ा था। वे “ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी का प्रशासन और वित्त”, “रुपये की समस्या: इसका उद्गम और इसका समाधान” और “ब्रिटिश भारत में प्रांतीय वित्त का विकास” पुस्तकों के लेखक थे। ये आज भी भारत और दुनिया भर में युवा पीढ़ी के मन को प्रेरित करते हैं।

एक अर्थशास्त्री होने के नाते, उन्होंने भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था को समझने में भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। उन्होंने औद्योगिक और कृषि गतिविधियों के विकास में लाखों लोगों को प्रेरित किया।  वे भारत के सबसे महान लोगों में से एक थे जिन्होंने लोगों को बेहतर सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य और शिक्षा के लिए प्रेरित किया।

Bhim Jayanti, or Ambedkar Jayanti, marks Dr. Ambedkar’s birthday, the “Father of the Indian Constitution.” Ambedkar Jayanti 2025 will be celebrated on 14th April in honour of the Dalit icon, who dedicated all his work and life to the upliftment of labourers, women, and the untouchables. Dr. B R Ambedkar not only gave the country its constitution but also played a significant role in forming India’s central banking institution, the Reserve Bank of India. An economist, social reformer, and jurist, he was the most important force behind one of the most important movements in India, the Dalit Buddhist Movement.

A Brief History

The Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti was started in 1990 to celebrate the life of Dr. Ambedkar. He was born into a low-income family on 14 April 1891. He was a brilliant student and worked extremely hard to pursue a college education. He was a practitioner of law and economics. He earned his doctorate in economics degrees from both the London School of Economics and Columbia University. He was a politician, economist, and philosopher who fought the caste system and many other problems India faced.

The entire country celebrates Dr. Ambedkar’s birthday, especially the women, Adivasis, Dalits, laborers, and all the other communities for whom he fought and inspired changes. The portraits and statues of Ambedkar located across India and the world are commemorated with garlands since many people pay their respect and gratitude to this social reformer. In recent years, even the United Nations have observed Ambedkar Jayanti.

On Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, many practices and cultural events will be held all throughout the country in offices, educational institutions, and communities. This day is widely celebrated because Ambedkar’s philosophy is still relevant to the current society. Reasons to celebration

The reason India celebrates Dr. Ambedkar’s birthday is to remember and honor the significant role he played in shaping up India and his contributions to the poor of India. He was the most important mind that was behind creating the Indian constitution. He created the Bahishkrit Hitkarini Sabha in 1923 to spread the importance of education and enrich the financial status of people with low incomes. He led many social movements such as the temple entry movement, anti-priest movement, anti-caste movement, etc. He fought for equal rights and was an economist and social reformer throughout his life.

Dr. B R Ambedkar’s Significant Contributions

Dr. Ambedkar made several changes in society that are remembered to this date. He fought for protecting the Dalit community’s rights by organizing several movements. Some of the most notable events are Mook Nayaka, Equality Janta, etc. The Congress Government invited him to become the first Law Minister after the country was freed from the administration of the British government in 1947. On 29th August 1947, he became the Constitution Drafting Committee’s Chairman.

He created the country’s new constitution, which was adopted by the Constitution Assembly on 26th November 1949. As he was an economist, his contributions were huge while creating the Central Bank of India, which is currently known as the Reserve Bank of India. He was the author of the books, “Administration and Finance of East India Company,” “The Problem of the Rupee: Its Origin and its Solution,” and “The Evolution of Provincial Finance in British India.” These still inspire the minds of the younger generation in India and throughout the world.

Being an economist, he also played a vital role in comprehending India's economy. He motivated millions of people in the growth of industrial and agricultural activities. He was one of the greatest people in India who inspired people to better community health and education.

Many people in India honor this day by attending conventions and lectures dedicated to discovering solutions to the problems Indians face.
