Labor Day History in English Language

Labor Day History in English Language –

The laborer does not always mean the poor, the laborer is the unit, which is an integral part of every success, whether it is a person buried in bricks or an employee burdened with office files.  Every person who works for an organization and takes money in return is a laborer.

In our society, the working class is always considered as a poor person, we consider those who work in the sun as laborers.  On the contrary, the working society is that integral part,

Which makes the society strong and mature, leads the society towards success.  All those people come in the working class, who work for some organization or privately and take remuneration in return.  Every person who works physically and mentally is a laborer, whether it is a person stained with brick and cement or an employee sitting under the burden of files in AC office.  Labor Day is celebrated to pay respect to all these labourers.

International Labor Day is also called International Workers' Day and May Day.  It is celebrated internationally all over the world, so that the labor union can be promoted and encouraged.  Labor Day is celebrated all over the world on 1 May, in Europe it has traditionally been declared a spring holiday.  In about 80 countries of the world, this day has been declared as a national holiday, in some places, programs are also organized to celebrate it.  In the US and Canada, Labor Day is on the first Monday of September.  In India we also call it Labor Day.  Our biggest mistake is to consider the laborer to be compelled, he eats his blood and sweat.  These are such self-respecting people, who are happy even in a little and believe in their hard work and dedication.  They do not like to spread their hands in front of anyone.

Labor Day History in English Language –

In India, Labor Day is celebrated in honor of working men and women.  Labor Day was first celebrated in India on 1 May 1923 in Madras (now Chennai), it was started by the Labor Kisan Party of Hindustan.  On this occasion, the red flag was used for the first time in India before independence.  The leader of this party, Singaravelu Chettiar had organized two functions to celebrate this day.  The first meeting was held at Triplican Beach and the second in the middle opposite to the Madras High Court.  Singaravelu had made a request to the Government of India here, that May 1 should be declared as Labor Day, as well as a national holiday should be kept on this day.  He had stressed on the political parties to be non-violent.

Origin of Labor Day in the world

On May 1, 1986, all the trade unions of America together decide that they will not work for more than 8 hours, for which they go on strike.  During this, the working class was made to work for 10-16 hours, as well as their safety was not taken care of.  At that time, the laborer also suffered many injuries during the work, many people used to die.  The ratio of deaths of children, women and men was increasing during the work, due to which it became necessary that all the people should come forward to stop the violation of their rights and protest in one voice.

During this strike, on May 4, a bomb is suddenly detonated by a man in Haymarket, Chicago, after which the police present there start firing indiscriminately.  Due to which many laborers and common man die.  With this, more than 100 people get injured.  This protest did not get immediate results in America, but due to the help of employees and social workers, after some time, the method of 8-hour work was adopted in India and other countries.  Since then, Labor Day has been celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the world, on this day the working class takes out various types of rails and performs.

 Labor Day Celebration in India-

Labor Day is celebrated as a protest not only in India but all over the world.  This happens when working men and women take out a procession on the road to protect their rights and interests.  Various labor organizations and trade unions take out processions, rally and parade with their people.  Apart from the procession, there are various competitions for the children, so that they can take part in it ahead and understand the true meaning of solidarity.  In this way children can understand the power of unity which is the true meaning of celebrating Labor Day.  On this day, messages of Happy Labor Day are shown on all news channels, radio and social media sites, employees also wish each other by sending these messages.  By doing this, the social awareness of the people towards Labor Day also increases.

Apart from all this, leaders of different political parties give speeches in front of the public, they all take full advantage of such opportunities to win in the next election.  In 1960, Bombay was divided into two parts on the basis of language, due to which Gujarat and Maharashtra got the status of independent states on this day (May 1).  Therefore, May Day is celebrated with great pomp in Maharashtra and Gujarat respectively as Maharashtra Day and Gujarat Day.  Labor Day is such an occasion, when all the people of the world understand and celebrate the true spirit of the working class.  It is a day when all the workers get a chance to show their strength, solidarity in front of everyone together, which shows how effectively the working class can fight for its rights in a positive way.

This is my feeling towards those people who consider servants as slaves, kill their rights as well as exploit them.  The laborer is not insignificant, the worker is an important unit of the society.

Like every year, this year also May 1 will be celebrated as Labor Day and everyone has an international holiday on this day.

What is done in schools on Labor Day?

Although Labor Day i.e. May 1 is a holiday in almost all companies and departments, but it has special significance in the school.  On this day, children in schools express their condolences to the workers.  He performs a variety of plays.  Not only this, the school principals honor their co-teachers.  Some children also write speeches on Labor Day and also read them on stage.  Overall, the children are made aware of the respect for the workers and their rights in the school.
