हेल्लो दोस्तों आज में एक ऐसी टॉपिक लेकर आए हैं जो काफी रोमांटिक्स होने वाला है जो सभी के जिंदगी में है या हो भी सकता हैं।

 वेलेंटाइन-डे की...। प्यार भरा यह दिन खुशियों का प्रतीक माना जाता है और हर प्यार करने वाले शख्स के लिए अलग ही अहमियत रखता है। 

14 फरवरी को मनाया जाने वाला यह दिन विभिन्न देशों में अलग-अलग तरह से और अलग-अलग विश्वास के साथ मनाया जाता है। पश्चिमी देशों में तो इस दिन की रौनक अपने शबाब पर ही होती है, मगर पूर्वी देशों में भी इस दिन को मनाने का अपना-अपना अंदाज होता है।

जहां चीन में यह दिन 'नाइट्स ऑफ सेवेन्स' प्यार में डूबे दिलों के लिए खास होता है, वहीं जापान व कोरिया में इस पर्व को 'वाइट डे' का नाम से जाना जाता है। इतना ही नहीं, इन देशों में इस दिन से पूरे एक महीने तक लोग अपने प्यार का इजहार करते हैं और एक-दूसरे को तोहफे व फूल देकर अपनी भावनाओं का इजहार करते हैं। 

इस पर्व पर पश्चिमी देशों में पारंपरिक रूप से इस पर्व को मनाने के लिए 'वेलेंटाइन-डे' नाम से प्रेम-पत्रों का आदान प्रदान तो किया जाता है ही, साथ में दिल, क्यूपिड, फूलों आदि प्रेम के चिन्हों को उपहार स्वरूप देकर अपनी भावनाओं को भी इजहार किया जाता है। 19वीं सदीं में अमेरिका ने इस दिन पर अधिकारिक तौर पर अवकाश घोषित कर दिया था। 

यू.एस ग्रीटिंग कार्ड के अनुमान के अनुसार पूरे विश्व में प्रति वर्ष करीब एक बिलियन वेलेंटाइन्स एक-दूसरे को कार्ड भेजते हैं, जो क्रिसमस के बाद दूसरे स्थान सबसे अधिक कार्ड के विक्रय वाला पर्व माना जाता है। 

ऐसा माना जाता है कि वेलेंटाइन-डे मूल रूप से संत वेलेंटाइन के नाम पर रखा गया है। परंतु सैंट वेलेंटाइन के विषय में ऐतिहासिक तौर पर विभिन्न मत हैं और कुछ भी सटीक जानकारी नहीं है। 1969 में कैथोलिक चर्च ने कुल ग्यारह सेंट वेलेंटाइन के होने की पुष्टि की और 14 फरवरी को उनके सम्मान में पर्व मनाने की घोषणा की। इनमें सबसे महत्वपूर्ण वेलेंटाइन रोम के सेंट वेलेंटाइन माने जाते हैं। 

1260 में संकलित की गई 'ऑरिया ऑफ जैकोबस डी वॉराजिन' नामक पुस्तक में सेंट वेलेंटाइन का वर्णन मिलता है। इसके अनुसार रोम में तीसरी शताब्दी में सम्राट क्लॉडियस का शासन था। उसके अनुसार विवाह करने से पुरुषों की शक्ति और बुद्धि कम होती है। उसने आज्ञा जारी की कि उसका कोई सैनिक या अधिकारी विवाह नहीं करेगा। संत वेलेंटाइन ने इस क्रूर आदेश का विरोध किया। 

उन्हीं के आह्वान पर अनेक सैनिकों और अधिकारियों ने विवाह किए। आखिर क्लॉडियस ने 14 फरवरी सन् 269 को संत वेलेंटाइन को फांसी पर चढ़वा दिया। तब से उनकी स्मृति में प्रेम दिवस मनाया जाता है। 

कहा जाता है कि सेंट वेलेंटाइन ने अपनी मृत्यु के समय जेलर की नेत्रहीन बेटी जैकोबस को नेत्रदान किया व जेकोबस को एक पत्र लिखा, जिसमें अंत में उन्होंने लिखा था 'तुम्हारा वेलेंटाइन'। यह दिन था 14 फरवरी, जिसे बाद में इस संत के नाम से मनाया जाने लगा और वेलेंटाइन-डे के बहाने पूरे विश्व में निःस्वार्थ प्रेम का संदेश फैलाया जाता है।

It is believed that Valentine's Day is originally named after Saint Valentine. But there are historically different opinions about St. Valentine and nothing is accurate. In 1969 the Catholic Church confirmed the existence of a total of eleven St. Valentines and announced a feast in his honor on February 14. The most important of these is considered to be St. Valentine of Rome.

St. Valentine is described in a book called 'Aurea of ​​Jacobus de Voragin' compiled in 1260. According to this, Rome was ruled by Emperor Claudius in the third century. According to him, getting married reduces the power and intelligence of men. He ordered that none of his soldiers or officers marry. Saint Valentine opposed this cruel order.

At his call, many soldiers and officers got married. Finally, on February 14, 269, Claudius hanged Saint Valentine. Since then, Valentine's Day is celebrated in his memory.

It is said that St. Valentine donated an eye to Jacobus, the jailer's blind daughter, at the time of his death and wrote a letter to Jacobus, at the end of which he wrote 'Your Valentine'.
